Answer: NO.

(Matthew 6:24 ESV) “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

You cannot devote your self to two conflicting belief systems, either you will hate the one and love the other, be devoted to the one and despise the other. Or you will have to remain in a state of such ignorance about either, so that they do not conflict, that you end up with no foundation or benefit from either and might as well invent your own religion, for all the good it will do you.

(Acts 4:12 ESV) And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

(John 14:6 ESV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Bible is very clear on the fact that there is only one way to salvation/God/paradise, Christ.

(Psalm 18:30 ESV) This God—his way is perfect, the word of the LORD proves true, he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

The word of the Lord is true and complete, no other outside doctrines, philosophies, or beliefs are necessary.

(Deuteronomy 4:2 ESV) You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.

(1 Corinthians 4:6 ESV) I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another.

(Revelation 22:18-19 ESV) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

God will not tolerate any changes to his word whether they be additions or subtractions. So too should your faith be founded the truth, the whole truth, of Gods word, nothing more nothing less.

Some conflicting Buddhist beliefs

In general Buddhism does not believe that there is a creator god. They do believe in Devas, which are sometimes translated gods in western texts, however they did not create the world, they have finite lives, and are reborn like all other beings it Buddhist texts. For the most part Buddhists believe that salvation from this world, or reaching Nirvana, is attained through the self by meditation and the study and application of Buddha's teaching.

In general there are two main sects of Buddhism, the atheistic majority and the theistic minority.

Atheistic Buddhism (such as Theravada Buddhist branches) does not believe in a god, that Nirvana (the ultimate state of existence for Buddhists) is only attained by ones self, and that the belief in a god will hinder you reaching Nirvana. This stands in direct contradiction with the Bible that says that there is a God, that humanity is incapable of self salvation, and that only through God can salvation be attained and suffering come to an end.

(Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Theistic Buddhism (such as Mahayana & Shin Buddhism) worships the Buddha as the supreme deity. Some believe that when he reached enlightenment he became all-knowing and all-powerful. Others believe that there is an eternal Buddha spirit that always was and was physically manifest in the Buddha of the 5th or 6th century BC. Either way this is also in direct contradiction with the Bible as there is only one God and we are to worship Him and Him alone.

(Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV) “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

(Exodus 20:3-5 ESV) “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

(Exodus 34:14 ESV) (for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

If a person would seek to be a Christian but still follow a few Buddhist teachings I would give these words of warning:

(Colossians 2:8-15 ESV) See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

(Mark 7:3-9 ESV) (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly, holding to the tradition of the elders, and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.) And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?” And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.” And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!

(Ecclesiastes 12:11-14 ESV) The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

  • Can people be Saved After the Rapture?

To understand the question at hand, and the existance of Tribulation Saints after the rapture we need to understand the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the body of Christ. This relationship began on the Day of Pentacost when the Holy Spirit (the comforter) came to earth as Christ had promised. The idea is not necessarily a complicated one, but

  • Does God speaking today through Signs of Nature?

As God is sovereign and in control of everything I would have to admit that He can in fact speak through signs in nature. He might not be directly speaking through it in some judgment, but he is always indirectly speaking through creation. Now this may seem like a harsh and depressing reply, so let me explain further with scripture. (Romans 3:10-12 ESV) as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one no one understands no one seeks

  • Did God Create Evil?

Did God Create Evil? Evil is not actually a created thing. God did not create evil. Evil is simply the lack of good. Darkness is not a created thing. Darkness is the lack of light. You cannot shine darkness into light and overcome it. Darkness does not shine into your lit up house at night when you open the blinds.

I have always interpreted Daniel 12:4 simply by the plain reading of the text. Of course we can not gain understanding of one simple passage unless we read it with the surrounding texts so we have to look at the surrounding passages to give clarity to this one verse. Probably a little differently than others you may ask this same question of. Many prophecy commentators would relate this set of passages directly to the rebirth of Israel.
