Did God Create Evil?

Evil is not actually a created thing. God did not create evil. Evil is simply the lack of good.

Darkness is not a created thing. Darkness is the lack of light. You cannot shine darkness into light and overcome it. Darkness does not shine into your lit up house at night when you open the blinds.

Foolishness is not a created thing it is the lack of wisdom.

Lies are the lack of truth.

Chaos is the lack of order. Chaos only exists where order is not.

Therefore when God said Let there be light. He was dispelling the darkness. Yes darkness exists but only where light is not.

So did God create evil? Well God didn't say let there be Darkness, he just gave his created beings the ability to choose him or not and to cater for those who choose not God, there must be an alternative to God who is light and that is his opposite called darkness which is the lack of light. When you reject God then God removes his righteous presence from you and that of course leaves evil. How can there be any good that doesn't come from God ?

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. -- James 1:17

Now how did evil originate in Satan?

You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. -- Ezekiel 28:14-17

God removed his greatness from Satan, when he cast him away.

Satan became Darkness as darkness is the lack of light and God is Light. Satan became evil as evil is the lack of good and all goodness originates in God. Satan became the Father of Lies because truth comes from God. Satan then spread his lies to other beings and all that followed his philosophy suffered the same fate as himself, that was to be eternally separated from God. This is why Man dies, because God is life and Man is also separated from God.

Which is where Christ comes in to redeem us, and bring us back to the father....back to the light.

1 Corinthians 15:22 says "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. "

So when God removes his presence, there will darkness and all manner of things leading to sin. For without God we succumb to our fallen nature. The nature instilled within us since Adam.

God did not create evil and suffering in the world. Those things are the result of Him removing his presence where he has been rejected. God gave man free will ability to reject him. This is a gift that he has given to us, not so that he could control us, but rather so that we could CHOOSE to worship and acknowledge Him. True love for God, is where our obedience comes from, and not the other way around. We don't follow God because we have no free will... we follow God and trust in Christ as our savior because we have CHOSEN to do so, because we Acknowledge God (Christ) as our salvation, our creator and coming King.

God is Love. The bible tells us that Love is most important out of everything. Love for God, and Love for our neighbors.

This same God proved that Love. He loved the world that much that he put on human form and went into the world to be condemned in our place for the punishment of sin. Jesus came so that the world could be saved through him and brought back into right relationship with God. God has extended his love to all of us so that we all might know him...... Love.

Did God create evil? No. Evil was the result of God removing his presence. Through this we can surely know what it says in the scriptures.

"God is good"

  • Can people be Saved After the Rapture?

To understand the question at hand, and the existance of Tribulation Saints after the rapture we need to understand the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the body of Christ. This relationship began on the Day of Pentacost when the Holy Spirit (the comforter) came to earth as Christ had promised. The idea is not necessarily a complicated one, but

  • Does God speaking today through Signs of Nature?

As God is sovereign and in control of everything I would have to admit that He can in fact speak through signs in nature. He might not be directly speaking through it in some judgment, but he is always indirectly speaking through creation. Romans 1:20 tells us that God’s invisible attributes are revealed to, and can be understood by, the

  • Why Are Dan and Ephraim missing from the tribes in Revelation 7:4-8?

In Genesis 49 we are given prophecies about the tribes of Israel. Information of interest to us in answering this question is found in verses 16 and 17. "Dan shall judge his people As one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, A viper by the path, That bites the horse's heels So that

  • Is there a Hell? A Place of Eternal Punishment?

What does Christ Say? Mark 9 43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 45 And if thy foot offend

  • Is it possible to follow the ideas of Buddhism and still be a 'Proper' Christian?

Answer: NO. (Matthew 6:24 ESV) “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. You cannot devote your self to two conflicting belief systems, either you will hate the one and love the other,

  • Why do I feel like I am never good enough?

Answer: Because you are not good enough, through Adam sin and the knowledge of good and evil has been passed down to all mankind. Now this may seem like a harsh and depressing reply, so let me explain further with scripture. (Romans 3:10-12 ESV) as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one no one understands no one seeks

  • Can God Create a Stone He Cannot Lift?

That’s quite a question. And a question that is often asked by atheists and those outside of the Christian faith in attempts at creating a paradox that would seem to suggest the concept of God is impossible. It is also sometimes asked by those who are Christian because it does appear to have a paradoxical answer. The answer seems to be

Yes I sure do. The visions of the statue from Daniel 2, the beasts from Daniel 7 and the final beast from the sea of Revelation 13 makes it very clear that the final empire on the world stage - prior to Christ setting up His never ending kingdom - is a reborn Roman Empire. • How do you interpret Daniel 12:4?

I have always interpreted Daniel 12:4 simply by the plain reading of the text. Of course we can not gain understanding of one simple passage unless we read it with the surrounding texts so we have to look at the surrounding passages to give clarity to this one verse. Daniel 12:1-4 tells us of a time when Michael the Archangel

  • How do you interpret Matthew 24:32-35?

Probably a little differently than others you may ask this same question of. Many prophecy commentators would relate this set of passages directly to the rebirth of Israel. At first thought the apostasy of the Church came to mind, because of all the rash of weird and unscriptural movements such as the Emerging Church, the Word of Faith, Yoga and mysticism entering the church, but honestly I think the most prominent 'second' sign is that as defined in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 which does in fact contain elements of
